Dr. Manabu Kato

Biography

Manabu Kato was born in Sasebo, Japan, on April 24, 1969. He received B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in computer science and electronics from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Iizuka, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1992, 1994, and 2000, respectively. From April 1994 to March 2001, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Ariake National College of Technology, Omuta, Fukuoka, Japan. From April 2001 to March 2003, he was a Lecturer in the same department. Since April 2003, he has been an Assciate Professor in the same department. His research interests include performance evaluation of high-speed networks. He received the 2000 Excellent Paper Award from the Institute of Electronics, Information, and Communication Engineers(IEICE) of Japan. Dr. Kato is a member of IEICE, IPSJ and IEEE.
